5 Tips for North Colorado: #1 Get a New Name

Northern Colorado sucks. I propose calling the new state Shoshone, after the tribe that once lived in northern Colorado. Shoshone is a poetic name that rolls off the tongue. For example: Greeley, Shoshone, Ft. Collins, Shoshone, the Shoshone State Supreme Court. I also propose the capital be located in Wellington, the northernmost town on Interstate-25, and farthest from Dirty Denver and its corruption. Shoshone Is Being Born

The new state of Shoshone with capital at Wellington is being born daily. A state free of the corruption of Denverado and its insidious Denver International Airport and tons of federal agencies. A state with lower state income taxes, less regulation, and plenty of free air to breathe. All it takes is a referendum and a statehood convention, followed by the creation of a state militia to defend our borders, and the U.S. will have its 51st state. Hopefully eastern, southern, and western Colorado will follow our example and forever part ways with Denverado, who can have the name Colorado if they want, they can stuff it where the sun don't shine. They can also have the Communist Republic of Boulder.

Help me by promoting this blog and starting your own. I founded it on September 7, 2013. When will we be celebrating our new statehood?

Why Name Our New State Shoshone?

I picked the name Shoshone myself based on my vast knowledge of history and grasp of language, and want to explain my reasons.

One, it's a beautiful poetic name that rolls off the tongue. Try it: Wellington, Shoshone. Fort Collins, Shoshone. Greeley, Shoshone. The Shoshone Supreme Court. The Shoshone State Militia.

Two, Shoshones once lived in northern Colorado, so we have the right to use it:

Three, if we're going to get a divorce from Colorado, why stay saddled with their goddam name? We need a clean break and a new start.

Four, other Indian tribes who lived here don't have such poetic names. For instance, Blackfoot, Crow, and Arapaho. Blackfoot is okay I guess, so I'll make it my #2 choice, but Arapaho would best fit for eastern Colorado. Not that we have to name our new states after real or imagined Indian tribes or words, but there's already Wyoming, Idaho, and Utah and they set up a trend for this neck of the continent, so why not go for it? No, I don't think we should name it after a person, and yes, we have Long's Peak and other great mountains, but who wants to live in the state of Long? And the name Montana is taken :)

Why Wellington?

First, it's not a good idea to make Fort Collins or Greeley the state capital of Shoshone because they're college towns, like Boulder, and the two functions don't mix.

Wellington, a 2 sq. mi. town in northern Colorado is the northernmost Colorado town on I-25. As such, it's in a perfect location for the state capital of Shoshone, with easy access. Best of all, it's a LONG WAY FROM DIRTY DENVER, and close to Cheyenne, Wyoming, where the people are closer to us in values. The you-guessed-it north side of Wellington has a lot of vacant land that's perfect for siting a capitol and other state buildings.

Wellington defeated Napoleon at Waterloo. What a great name for the breakaway state that defeated Dirty Denver at the ballot box. :)

Colorado Is Too Dam Big

Colorado is currently 100 thousand square miles in area. Does Colorado really need 100 thousand? No, I think not. It wouldn't miss, say, 25 thousand, would it? Sure, it would be nice to have 100 thousand, but it doesn't need 100 thousand. 75 thousand would do just fine for awhile, until southern colorado took say 25 thousand, and western colorado another 25 thousand, and eastern colorado another er, sorry, the runt state of Denvorado doesn't need more than the Denver Metro Area and Boulder, like Rhode Island, which is only 1.2 thousand. After all the corruption they've been known for, even that sounds dangerous, but for now it's TBD, so let's get while the gettin's good by seceding northern Colorado and see how the balls break :)
